Community Prosecution Unit

 

COMMUNITY PROSECUTION focuses on a target area and involves a long-term, proactive partnership among prosecutors, law enforcement, the community, and private organizations, whereby the authority of the prosecutor's office is used to solve problems, improve public safety, and enhance the quality of life in the community.  The City of Milwaukee’s Community Prosecution Unit (CPU) consists of: District Attorney’s Office Community Prosecutor; Milwaukee Police Department Community Prosecution Officers; Department of Neighborhood Services Inspectors; Community City Attorney; Safe & Sound Prosecution Coordinator; various City departments; and community resources
